Backlog

My apologies for the lack of updates on this blog. I've been busy this year with Ragnarok Philippines (game), DotA 2 (another game) and my kittens (now cats). As the year 2018 approaches, I can't help but create a New Year's resolution and also list down the things (and places) that I need to blog about.

  1. Travel to the heritage town of Taal, Batangas
  2. Good Friday procession at Baliuag, Bulacan
  3. Trip to Gapan City (in Nueva Ecija), Bayombong, Bambang, Solano and Dupax del Sur (all in Nueva Vizcaya)
  4. My experience volunteering for the Philippine Heritage Map
  5. Raising my kittens Rikimaru and Mirana
  6. The upcoming 25th Anniversary of Nayon Photographers' Club
  7. Uploading the pictures of our Teachers' Appreciation Day 2017
  8. Trip to Pillila and Paete in Laguna
  9. Television shows I'm watching lately -- "Vikings" Season 5, "Star Trek Discovery", "Knightfall", "Riverdale", among others
  10. Recent mobile games released -- #JoyPlanet #Extra
  11. Being a "political analyst" on Twitter and Facebook (I should seriously create a different account for this different persona of mine)
  12. Uploading pictures of The City of Dreams, Manila
  13. My 1 year anniversary at the International Ragnarok Online (iRO) Thor server
  14. Setting up a Labor Union
  15. Maine Mendoza's book

Lately, playing DotA 2 is eating up the rest of my free time. A lot of my coworkers are also into the game and we're mostly playing 3-4 rounds daily (at an average of 45 minutes per game). The game has 115 Heroes to choose from and I'm doing the All-Hero Challenge -- to win a match using all the DotA 2 heroes. So far I'm done with 6 heroes and if I continue to play an average of 3 games a day, and a 50% chance of winning a game, I should be able to play all the heroes by the end of February 2018.

I know that I should be blogging more but sometimes it's hard to write articles speically if you have writer's block. I know that blogging should be consistent and done on regular intervals but I don't want to publish fillers just to have regular blog articles. I want my articles to be thorough and informative, which is hard to do.

Anyway, I should never stop trying and just continue writing. Good luck to me and my blogging hobby in 2018.

Philippine-Korean Video Game Cooperation Conference

I'm very thankful to be invited to the Philippine-Korean Video Game Cooperation Conference yesterday at the Marco Polo Hotel, Ortigas. It was also the launch of 4 mobiles games namely Joy Planet, Next Exit, Velator, and Fantasy Tales as well as the announcement of partnership between Elite Games Inc and Gyeonggi Content Agency (of South Korea) to bring these games not just to the Philippines but in the whole Southeast Asian countries.

Johnny Paek, CEO of Elite Games Inc, welcomed bloggers, media and gaming enthusiasts to the launch.

Romulo Reyes presented some statistics regarding the gaming industry and showed some videos of the upcoming games.

Here are some of the pictures of this momentous event in gaming history.
