Lambat Bar and Grill, Pinagbarilan, Baliuag

Our high school classmate Sarah introduced us to this amazing venue in Pinagbarilan, Baliuag, Bulacan. It’s located within Electroline Corporation (ELCOR) Compound about a kilometer away from the National Highway. If you’re coming from Manila, drop off at the Barangay Hall of Pinagbarilan and ride a tricycle for P20 to ELCOR. If you’re coming from San Rafael, San Ildefonso area it’s the street after the ACE Medical Center.

Our high school barkada, IV-Mayon ‘94 from Mariano Ponce High School, Baliuag (now Mariano Ponce National High School) has been celebrating our reunion yearly since 2004. This year’s Christmas Party / Year end Party / Salu-Salo was held last night at Lambat Bar and Grill. We had food, beer, karaoke session, kwentuhan and lots of fun.

The place is amazing. It’s very cozy and far from the noises of the Metro. It’s perfect for salu-salo, drinking and KTV sessions. They have 3 rooms (2 located at the 2nd storey) and 1 general, open area at the ground floor. The one we used was the airconditioned room upstairs. Food is okay and affordable and the ones we have were sisig, lechon kawali, crispy pata, fried chicken, pansit canton, etc. We ate like we were in our 20s.

The only downside I saw was the dim, halogen lights used at the 2nd floor. Well, it’s meant for drinking session anyway but if you’re really into documenting your event, you might want to bring a camera that’s good for low-light setting. One that has a good aperture capability.

You may check out their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lambatgrill/ and inquire with Shahani.
