Expectations from President Duterte

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte speaks before the protesting residents in the city who are calling for the moratorium on housing foreclosure in several housing projects in the city. At least 5,000 homeowners coming from different subdivisions in the city and even from neighboring towns and cities marched around the city on Wednesday afternoon, Feburary 11, 2008 to oppose the transfer of an estimated P13 billion worth of housing loans with the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) to a private entity known as Balikatan Housing Finance Inc. (BHFI). AKP Images / Keith Bacongco

Now that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is clearly the winner of the recent presidential elections, I tried to review the things that he mentioned during the series of presidential debates.

This list is not complete of course but here are some of the things that I remember he mentioned. I’ll try to review the 3 presidential debates and update this list. Hopefully, after his term in 2022, all these expectations and promises will be met:

  1. Suppression of drugs and criminality within 3-6 months

  15. Manila is a symbol of being oppress (so he won’t stay in Malacanan?)
