First, my gratitude to History Asia for giving me 4-days passes to the 1st Manila History Con 2016. I joined their online contest via Facebook and luckily I won, so thank you. Unfortunately, I have work during the weekdays and I have a meeting on Sunday, which left me Saturday to witness the very first History Con in the Philippines. So I’m part of History now for attending this great event.
The main parts of History Con 2016 can be divided into three parts – the historical booths (items from the past, the Presidential Car Museum, the World War II exhibit, etc), the History Shows exhibit (Viking ship, cars, motorbikes) and the sponsors (Globe, Sky Broadband, among others).
Lastly, I want to call out the organizers of the 1st Manila History Con 2016 event for a lousy job. It was so lousy that the people lined up for hours just to have a souvenir photo with the host of History shows or listen to their talk.
People don’t have 4 days to spare to be able to listen to the entire resource person. So standing in line for several hours is really a bad experience. I learned from a Facebook user that it was Teamworks Events Plus Inc that did the horrible job as organizers, saying:
Hello Elmer, I am one of the crew of history channel. Sorry to find out that you were disappointed about the event. We were disappointed to about the performance of the events organizers that we hired to help us. They were disrespectful and unorginized.

this is the facebook link of the events organizer. Giving them a low rate review would help people to avoid hiring them.
Anyway, I’m dividing the pictures from the 1st Manila History Con 2016 into 3 parts due the sheer volume of pictures I took. Aside from standing in line for several hours, the rest of my day at this event has been nice and an eye-opener about our colorful history as Filipinos.

I’m very happy with the exhibit of the Israeli Embassy. They featured the Israel-Philippines Joint Issue of a postal stamp showing the monument to Philippine President Manual L Quezon.
